About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Coordinator to join our team at the Kern Community College District. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and preparing accounting and financial records, as well as performing complex accounting and financial transactions and reporting.

Main Responsibilities
• Lead worker over Accounting Technician positions engaged in the maintenance and preparation of accounting and financial records
• Independently perform a variety of complex accounting and financial transactions and reporting
• Coordinate activities within projects, communicate with district, county, state and federal offices and agencies regarding specially funded programs

Qualifications
• Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school supplemented by some college coursework in business or accounting and four years of increasingly responsible experience in fiscal record keeping, accounting, and reporting
• Associate Degree in business, accounting, economics, or related field and three years of increasingly responsible experience in fiscal record keeping, accounting and reporting

Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary of $ 5,408.58 - $ 7,642.19 monthly, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
