Pathology Education Lead

We are looking for an experienced Pathology Education Lead to join our team at Northside Hospital. This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive education programs for Histology Technicians and Residents, with a focus on competency development, orientation, and support for the Residency program.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in histology and pathology, with at least five years of experience in a laboratory setting. A minimum of two years of experience in training and/or education is also required, as well as National HT/HTL certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver effective education programs for Histology Technicians and Residents
- Develop and implement competency assessments and verification processes
- Orient new employees to the Histology Lab environment
- Support the Histology Lab's Residency program
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of experience in a histology/pathology laboratory
- Two (2) years of experience in training and/or education in a histology/pathology laboratory
- National HT/HTL certification through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer keyboard and information system experience
- Immunochemistry experience and/or training
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proficient with laboratory equipment and able to troubleshoot, program, and maintain schedules
- Experience with Stainers, Coverslippers, Tissue Processors, Microtomes, and Paraffin Pots
