We are seeking a highly skilled Pathology Supervisor or Histology Supervisor to join our team at one of Atlanta's top-ranked healthcare providers. Job SummaryThis is a DAY SHIFT position, requiring the supervision of histology or pathology laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, medical technology, histology, cytology, or a related life/biological science field, accompanied by certification as a Histotech (HT), Histology Technologist (HTL), or Cytology (CT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
Responsibilities- Supervise daily histology or pathology laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures, protocols, and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Mentor and train laboratory staff on new techniques, equipment, and quality control processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and integration of laboratory results.
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, accompanied by ASCP or AMT certification in histology or a related field. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care are essential for success in this position.
