Position OverviewSUMMARY OF ROLE

The Associate Volleyball Coach plays a vital role in assisting the head coach with various aspects of coaching, operational management, recruitment, and fundraising initiatives. This position is contingent upon satisfactory performance and adherence to all academic and employment protocols.

The Associate Coach is responsible for strategizing and overseeing the training of student-athletes, evaluating their skills to assign suitable team roles, and guiding players to achieve their maximum athletic potential through effective training and leadership. A thorough understanding of NCAA regulations is essential, along with familiarity with standard practices within the sport. This role requires a blend of experience and creative problem-solving to meet established objectives.

Work Environment: The position is based at Post University.

Compensation: Stipend for a duration of 10 months.

Work Hours: Minimum of 20 hours per week, with additional hours during peak periods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage compliance data using Frontrush software.
  • Collaborate with the head coach to analyze opponent strategies.
  • Utilize Hudl for film breakdown and evaluation.
  • Foster a positive and competitive atmosphere within the team.
  • Participate in recruitment activities on campus.
  • Engage in community service projects and fundraising initiatives for the program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the athletic department.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Comprehensive understanding of NCAA Division I/II regulations.
  • Experience in collegiate coaching or competitive play.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work during both traditional and non-traditional hours.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree is required, with admission into one of Post University's graduate programs.
  • Prior playing experience at the NCAA level is preferred.
  • Commitment to a minimum of 20 hours of work per week during the academic year based on credit hours.
