Project Manager Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing electronic security installation projects, working closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Project Planning and Execution:** Schedule and lead project kick-off meetings, work with subcontractors to assign resources and notify the Warehouse of project requirements.
  • **Project Management:** Maintain project job files and provide updates on project status, attend project meetings, and ensure project schedules are maintained.
  • **Customer Communication:** Communicate with customers regarding project progress and schedule work, oversee installation work at customer sites to ensure quality and safety.
  • **Team Support:** Support technical staff and mentor Project Coordinators, implement Project Management methodologies, and foster a team environment.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

  • A 2-year degree with 5 years of relevant experience in low voltage systems or a 4-year degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn company-specific software.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and manage changing business demands.
  • PMP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Working knowledge of low voltage systems such as fire alarm, access control, and video systems.

**Expectations:**

  • Demonstrate planning and organizing skills to complete projects on time.
  • Must be self-motivated and well-organized.
  • Positive and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to utilize resources effectively.

**Travel:** Up to 10% of the time with advance notice.
