Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, responding to their needs and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for donors and staff.
  • Handle transactions with accuracy, processing donations and providing receipts as needed.
  • Present a professional appearance, adhering to The Salvation Army's dress code and maintaining a friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Responsible for all operations and security matters while on duty, including receiving and processing donations, and safeguarding assigned equipment.
  • Track donations per center policy, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Courteously advise donors of unacceptable materials and provide information on pick-up services as needed.
  • Support the production processes as needed, including sorting, loading, and unloading SA trucks.
  • Be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
