Freight Account Manager

The Freight Brokerage Strategic Account Manager role at Ryder System requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to operate and support a portfolio of new and existing customers.
This includes developing relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates, and managing day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop strategic partnerships with transportation providers to maximize penetration of customer freight portfolios
- Negotiate rates with transportation providers to ensure margins are achieved for commission targets and account goals
- Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to ensure proper all customer's needs are met in the agreed-upon time period
- Tenders accept/reject loads, creates loads, sets appointments, dispatches, tracks, and traces loads, root cause problem solves issues, and resolves/communicates to carrier and/or customer as appropriate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

The estimated salary range for this position is $47,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
