- Develop and maintain ownership of new product and process development activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Manage projects from concept to launch, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.
- Maintain and improve existing products, ensuring they meet customer needs and expectations.
- Train and mentor less senior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive team success.
- Create and maintain policies, procedures, and engineering standards, ensuring compliance with company regulations.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to implement changes.
- Serve as a technical expert, providing guidance and support to customers and internal teams on Rexnord Aerospace products.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on bearings and mechanical seals.
- 5+ years of experience in new product and process development, with a proven track record of success.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of 3D solid modeling software, including SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO, and CATIA.
- Strong customer service orientation and high-level interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of engineering part drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Background in metal manufacturing, including metal cutting and grinding.
- Experience in root cause analysis and formal problem-solving techniques.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.
- Knowledge of the Stage Gate Process.
- Ability to travel occasionally to customers and other plants.
- General working knowledge of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools.
