Job Summary

Fervo Energy is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer Intern to join our Surface Facilities Team. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will actively contribute to the development, construction, and engineering of geothermal power plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct reviews of engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
  • Assist in the design and optimization of surface facilities, including ORC facilities and gathering systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Develop pre-commissioning and commissioning plans, track cost, and develop forecasts for project spend during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Manage project design redlines and own project change process.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior actively enrolled in an undergraduate program, or any level of graduate program, in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering disciplines.
  • Understanding of electrical power systems, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
  • Coding experience, with proficiency in Power BI or Spotfire a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to develop technical reports and presentations.
  • Self-motivated with strong desire to execute large scopes of work, ability to think critically.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Salary Information

$25-$45/hour
