Lead Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:
The Lead Mechanic oversees the maintenance tasks in the service, repair, and overhaul of aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Ensures timely completion of tasks and provides training and mentorship for an assigned function area. Assists with Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities for short periods of time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines, and company policies.
- Reviews required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
- Leads the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approves and returns to service, any aircraft, or part thereof, only for which that Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date.
- Performs maintenance tasks as required and becomes an active member of the crew.
- Conducts crew meetings to ensure communication regarding work, safety, and quality.
- Uses technical data to order parts and ensures material is effective for aircraft being installed on. Ensures all parts for specialty area are ordered in a timely manner.
- Ensures Engineering is submitted in a timely manner as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of four (4) years' recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience preferred.
- Applicable Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.

Compensation:
The full base pay range for this position is $44.50 hourly, exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills.
