Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Other Executive team, the Director of Government Relations - Federal will lead the development and execution of the company's federal government relations strategy. This includes overseeing trade association positioning, managing Political Action Committee (PAC) contributions, and coordinating federal advocacy and grassroots communications.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive federal trade association strategy, ensuring effective positioning and engagement.
  • Oversee federal lobbyists, strategy, and contract execution, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Lead the development and advancement of the company's federal government relations and advocacy agenda, including legislative and regulatory summaries, strategic responses, and educational content creation.
  • Coordinate facility visits by Members of Congress, fostering strong relationships and building support for the company's initiatives.
  • Strategically assess and place corporate, market, and other leaders in roles with federal and national trade association committees and boards.
  • Develop and execute a federal political giving strategy, aligning with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide regular reporting to Senior Leadership, updating policy and advocacy materials to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a Master's Degree preferred.
  • Seven to ten years of relevant work experience, including federal legislative, regulatory/agency, trade association, corporate, or campaign experience focusing on issues relevant to hospitals or healthcare delivery.
  • High level of competence with business software, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise reports and materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
