Government Relations Lead

At Scale AI, we are accelerating the development of AI and seeking a Government Relations Lead to support our Congressional Engagements related to Government Funding. This role will manage and execute Congressional engagement with a primary focus on Appropriations.

  • Manage Appropriations portfolio on behalf of the Company and support efforts to shape future year funding at various Agencies
  • Work to understand business objectives related to portfolio and translate them into Policy
  • Assist in the formation of Scale AI's government affairs strategy and priorities
  • Advise and brief Scale AI Leadership on policies impacting Artificial Intelligence Policy
  • Build relationships with and educate Members of Congress, DoD Officials, and Congressional staff on issues related to government funding for artificial intelligence
  • Monitor policy, legislative, and regulatory changes for potential impact on Scale AI's business

Requirements:

  • Between 4-6 years of experience in Legislative Affairs or working in the Government
  • Experience successfully securing provisions in the Appropriations process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A history of managing multiple work streams simultaneously

Compensation packages at Scale AI for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. Scale AI employees in eligible roles are also granted equity-based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process, and confirm whether the hired role will be eligible for equity grant. You'll also receive benefits including, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO. Additionally, this role may be eligible for additional benefits such as a commuter stipend.

Base Salary Range: $164,000-$205,000 USD
