Principal Systems Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting trade studies, developing requirements, and updating Interface Description Documents. You will also collaborate with other stakeholders, including customers and engineers from outside of RTX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct trade studies and develop requirements for complex systems
- Update and maintain Interface Description Documents
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including customers and engineers
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
- Eight (8) years or more of documented Engineering work and/or academic experience in the following areas: Missile Defense Systems or other related systems engineering experience
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or Math
- Experience in Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems including radar, interceptor, Command and Control systems
- Experience using DOORs
- Experience collaborating with other stakeholders
