Job Summary

Arcfield is a leading provider of full lifecycle, mission-focused systems engineering and integration capabilities to the U.S. government and its allies. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering and integration, with experience in reviewing and assessing the maturity of engineering artifacts, CONOPs, system interfaces, and architecture products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) and Engineering working groups to review and assess the maturity of engineering artifacts, CONOPs, system interfaces, and architecture products.
  • Assist with decision support and technical consultation, meeting coordination, and leading the development of initial recommendations for Government decision-makers.
  • Solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
  • Translate high-level product strategies into detailed system requirements.
  • Learn and understand interfaces and integrate system elements for overall functionality.
  • Assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Participate in conceptual design and documentation processes.
  • Participate in the testing process to validate requirements.
  • Participate in assembly, installations, and testing with occasional travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, operations research, engineering management, or related STEM degree program and 2-4 years of experience, or MS with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with industry space-based remote sensing capabilities.
  • Understanding of basic Digital Engineering concepts.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen: ability to relate professionally inside the work environment.
  • A passion for learning, helping others, sharing team knowledge, and contributing value to the mission in any way possible.

Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with EO/IR optical calibration.
  • Experience with thermal control and design.
  • Experience with customer design reviews.
  • Experience with launch, early orbit, and on-orbit operations.
  • Experience with developing and refining CONOPs.
  • Agile development experience.
  • ABLE TO OBTAIN and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with supporting National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation. Min: $64,458.77 Max: $154,893.46
