The Senior Accounting Analyst at Metronorth Railroad is integral to maintaining financial integrity and safeguarding assets. This position involves conducting audits of train service personnel, reconciling cash sales documentation, analyzing financial trends, and probing any inconsistencies. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication abilities across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard company assets concerning revenue integrity
  • Conduct field audits at multiple terminals
  • Reconcile daily cash fare documentation
  • Examine transaction data for signs of fraudulent behavior
  • Formulate audit methodologies based on data analysis
  • Investigate discrepancies in ticketing systems
  • Deliver precise reports on revenue integrity
  • Collaborate with different departments within Metronorth Railroad
  • Assist Revenue Supervisors and Managers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
