Job Overview

Clinical Screeners work with Northern Illinois University to conduct specialized assessments of children and their former guardians. These assessments aim to develop a DSM-5 diagnostic impression, estimate violence potential, and assess parenting capacity.

With the ability to work from home and some regional travel, Clinical Screeners play a vital role in informing treatment planning and developing permanency plans for children.

This position requires expertise in conducting highly specialized trauma-focused assessments, early childhood developmental screenings, and diagnostic substance abuse assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts thorough assessments to develop a diagnostic impression and estimate violence potential.
  • Completes specialized reports used to inform treatment planning and develop permanency plans.
  • Works closely with families and supervisors to ensure accurate documentation and effective services.

Requirements include a current Illinois LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist license. A Master's Degree from a related field and three years of relevant clinical experience are also necessary.

The salary for this position is approximately $ 80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
