\Description: We seek a Child Welfare Assessment Professional to join our team in assessing children in substitute care and their former caregivers. The successful candidate will conduct specialized assessments, develop diagnostic impressions, estimate violence potential, and evaluate parenting capacity.
\This role involves working from home, with some regional travel required for assessments within your area. If you are passionate about child welfare and possess excellent clinical skills, we encourage you to apply.
\Key Responsibilities:
\- Conduct thorough trauma-focused assessments for diagnostic purposes.
- Conduct developmental screenings and other assessments of at-risk children.
- Assess youth to recommend suitable treatment options and care levels.
- Determine necessary intervention levels for substance abuse assessments.
- Evaluate parenting capacity and make recommendations for necessary interventions.
- Identify interpersonal violence and suggest interventions as needed.
- Compile assessment data, review case files, and document findings in comprehensive forensic reports.
- Share clinical documentation with supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
- Lead IDCFS clinical meetings, promoting collaboration and effective decision-making.
Compensation Package: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
\Requirements:
\- Licensed Illinois LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist; consideration given to LSW and LCP with relevant experience.
- Masters Degree from a related field.
- At least three years of relevant clinical experience.
- Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
- Empirically supported clinical practices knowledge.
- Awareness of developmental stages across the lifespan.
- Ability to assess risk factors for self-harm or violence.
