Job Summary

Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Banner Fort Collins Medical Center. As an ICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, lab results, and other data, making informed decisions to adjust care plans as needed.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families, fostering a positive and compassionate care environment.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Colorado or compact licensure.
  • 1+ year of experience in an ICU or critical care setting, with a strong foundation in critical care nursing principles and practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
