Job Summary

The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in overseeing the nursing and support staff in an inpatient unit, specialty clinic, or treatment programs. This position requires strong leadership and clinical skills to provide high-quality patient care and promote a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee department/unit for assigned shift, employing clinical and managerial skills to care for patients and provide guidance and leadership to other nurses.
  • Patient Assessment: Assess the needs of individuals, families, and communities to identify potential health or safety problems and instruct individuals and families on health education and disease prevention.
  • Treatment and Evaluation: Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, monitor patient vital signs, and develop and modify patient care plans as needed.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications, document patient information, and reassess patient conditions.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree Required
  • 1-3 years of professional nursing experience in a patient care setting
  • RN-Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
