We are seeking a highly qualified Academic General Internist or Geriatrician to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a full-time General Internist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, you will be responsible for primary medical care and teaching.
About the RoleThe Department of Medicine at Stony Brook Medicine is committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a Level 3 NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home with a fully integrated electronic medical record and robust transitions of care program.
Responsibilities- Provide primary medical care to patients
- Teach medical trainees
- Perform quality improvement initiatives
- Conduct health services research
Candidates must be MD (or foreign equivalent) and Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. A New York State Medical License or eligibility to receive one is also required.
Preferred QualificationsCompletion of a Geriatric or General Medicine Fellowship, Chief Residency, MPH program, and/or previous experience working in a primary care outpatient setting are preferred.
