We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Dee Zee. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality components and final products by assembling parts and subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts according to QIS work instructions, control plans, or blueprints using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, tape, or other fastening methods.
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates, fixtures, or reading measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Resolve assembly problems by verifying dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred.
  • Any manufacturing and/or assembly experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2D Design skills.
