Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Dee Zee. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for producing high-quality components and final products by assembling parts and subassemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble parts according to QIS work instructions, control plans, or blueprints using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, tape, or other fastening methods.
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates, fixtures, or reading measurements.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
- Resolve assembly problems by verifying dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred.
- Any manufacturing and/or assembly experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2D Design skills.
