Job Title: Mechanical Technician


Job Description


We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Aerotek, a leading provider of workforce solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial mechanics, diesel mechanics, and gearbox repair. Responsibilities include working with blueprints, schematics, and diagrams, performing assembly-style mechanics and heavy industrial assembly, using hand and power tools, replacing parts, and welding (a plus).


Key Responsibilities




  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment




  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues




  • Use hand and power tools to assemble and repair equipment




  • Replace parts and components as needed




  • Weld and fabricate metal components




Requirements


The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial mechanics, diesel mechanics, and gearbox repair. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a degree in a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.


Work Environment


The shop hosts 25-30 people and is very clean and organized. You will be working closely with other departments. The position is for the 2nd shift (12pm-8pm) with some flexibility to work either a 4-10 schedule (10am-8pm or 11am-9pm) or a 5-8 schedule.
