Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing minor and major repairs to all production and facility-related equipment, including machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic controls, conveyors systems, and production machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance
    • Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
    • Install, align, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
    • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set up, and repair of machinery.
    • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
    • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
    • Perform welding as required.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting
    • Analyze, troubleshoot, and rectify machine, facility, and process problems.
    • Complete machine Preventative Maintenance duties as scheduled.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment to determine corrective actions and repairs.
  • Inventory Management and Teamwork
    • Help maintain inventory control of parts and equipment.
    • Work with other maintenance employees to learn more trouble-shooting methods and skills.
  • Fabrication and Assembly
    • Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set up of machinery.
    • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Safety
    • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Skills and Experience
    • At least 5 years of experience as a millwright.
    • Desired completion of a three to four-year apprenticeship program.
    • Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
    • Knowledge of and compliance with safety regulations.
    • Agility, hand-eye coordination, communication, and mechanical skills.
