Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at St. David's Georgetown Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in gathering diagnostic information through the use of radioactive materials and sophisticated radiation detecting equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Conduct nuclear stress testing and monitor the administered radioactive drug in a patient's system.
  • Document all findings and handle any adverse events related to the administration of radioactive drugs.
  • Manage patient flow to ensure efficient exam completion and communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologists.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Director/Manager of Imaging Services.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
  • Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Licenses and Certifications
  • State Regulated Radiological Tech or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) through the Texas Medical Board.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
