Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at St. David's Georgetown Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in gathering diagnostic information through the use of radioactive materials and sophisticated radiation detecting equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established standards and practices.
- Conduct nuclear stress testing and demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes, and radiation protection.
- Monitor and track radioactive drugs in patients' systems using medical technology equipment.
- Document findings and handle adverse events related to radioactive drug administration.
- Manage patient flow and communicate with radiologists and cardiologists to ensure efficient exam completion.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Director/Manager of Imaging Services.
- Associate Degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
- State-regulated radiological tech or certified medical radiologic technologist (CMRT) through the Texas Medical Board.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
