Position Overview: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for acquiring diagnostic data through the administration of radioactive substances, utilizing advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring the safe handling of radioactive materials for physician use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Nuclear Medicine procedures in alignment with established protocols and departmental guidelines.
  • Perform nuclear stress tests according to facility standards and physician directives.
  • Exhibit expertise in human anatomy, disease mechanisms, patient care, and radiation safety.
  • Track the distribution of radioactive agents within patients using sophisticated medical imaging technology.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all administered substances and manage any adverse reactions appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • State certification as a Radiological Technologist or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT).
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) or as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
