Job Summary

As a key member of our Circa Resort & Casino team, the Hotel Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences and driving hotel operations excellence. This role will report to the Hotel Manager and Hotel Director, and will be a critical part of our efforts to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Counsel, guide, train, and instruct all employees working in the hotel area in their duties.
  • Confer with the sales/marketing department to ensure that the highest room occupancy rates are achieved.
  • Handle the critical day-to-day hotel functions, including employee schedules.
  • Maintain effective and efficient department procedures and controls, and ensure that all departments with the hotel operations are scheduled properly for maximum coverage during peak hours.
  • Oversee the front desk computer system and coordinate any necessary modifications.
  • Show special recognition of frequent guests.
  • Maintain communication and cooperation with other shifts and departments to keep employees informed of all pertinent information, including sending out a daily newsletter to all employees.
  • Handle complaints from employees and guests in a prompt courteous manner.
  • Assist the Hotel Manager with operating forecasts and other required departmental reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with guests, team members, supervisors, and external organizations.
  • Must be computer literate with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Opera experience is a plus.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to see, speak clearly, and listen carefully in order to communicate with hotel departments and external guests.
  • Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments.
Qualifications
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • All Employees must be knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or the equivalent.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Nevada Gaming Registration.
