Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Representative to join our team at Boyd Gaming. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out experiences, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Provide friendly and efficient check-in and check-out experiences for guests, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Room Sales and Management: Utilize excellent customer service skills to sell rooms and manage room inventory, ensuring optimal revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Front Desk Operations: Complete all registration forms and computer input, retrieve and distribute room keys, and calculate and print hotel bills.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate with Executive Hosts regarding hotel stays, utilize computer systems to run necessary reports, and balance all transactions at the end of shift.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, including operating manual procedures in the event of computer failure.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and minimum 6 months front desk experience.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to utilize basic office machines and telephone, minimum typing speed 45 WPM, and 10-key experience a plus.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate with guests and staff in English, and knowledge of hotel key system.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Must be able to work flexible shifts, stand for long periods of time, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial Management: Ability to add, subtract, and audit accounts, and money handling experience.
  • Computer Systems: Ability to operate LMS, CMS, and Hot Sauce/Espresso computer systems.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
