About the Role


This Senior Business Process Consultant position is a 12-month opportunity, with the possibility of extension, at our client's office in Columbia, SC.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government IT projects as a business analyst or related duties and experience eliciting, mining, and documenting business rules and processes. Additionally, they should possess superb written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write requirements and use cases.


Responsibilities include obtaining business processes and requirements information by interviewing business personnel and mining laws, regulations, and policy documents. The successful candidate will also be knowledgeable about formal business process documentation and possess understanding of business modeling techniques, including graphical process flow software.


Key Skills and Qualifications



  • 5+ years' experience in government IT projects as a business analyst or related duties
  • 5+ years' experience in eliciting, mining, and documenting business rules and processes
  • 3+ years' experience in Medicaid or healthcare
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain business processes and requirements information through interviews and research
  • Familiarity with formal business process documentation and business modeling techniques
  • Knowledge of graphical process flow software

Preferred Skills and Experience



  • General subject matter expertise in Medicaid or other healthcare insurance experience (project or operations)
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Project/Project Server

Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field
  • Equivalent experience in business/systems analysis and/or computer systems development/modification may be substituted
  • Certified professional in business analysis or a related field (optional)

Compensation and Benefits


The estimated salary for this role is around $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
