Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant Team Lead to join our team at Concentra Career Choice. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients and ensuring that our clinical care is executed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide work leadership to a team of Medical Support Specialists, ensuring that clinical care is executed and exceptional service is delivered to all customers.
  • Complete and/or delegate tasks amongst team members to remain compliant with policies and procedures.
  • Support patient flow and volume, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine medical and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician.
  • Assist providers during examination and treatment, and prepare patients for physical examinations.
  • Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by the treating clinician, and triaging emergent patients as needed.
  • Prepare and assist clinicians with procedure setup and injury care, and apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
  • Dispense medications and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as ordered by the treating clinician, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, and maintain supplies, clean rooms, and equipment.
  • Notify leadership immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or the facility is not operating as expected.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing training as required, and assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly appearance throughout the facility.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school, or Military Medical Specialist with current Medical Assistant credentials in the state of employment.
  • Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, and Hair and Oral Fluids Collection Certifications.
  • At least six months or more of medical assistant experience, with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.

  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interaction with employers, patients, providers, and other employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain working relationships with all employees/leadership.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
