As a Senior Software Engineer on our Consumer Engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in creating innovative backend microservices that help us achieve this mission.

The Challenge

We're looking for a talented engineer to help us design, create, and scale microservices that power our app-based and web-based ordering experiences. You'll work collaboratively with our Product Engineering squads to define and execute the product roadmap, develop and test hypotheses to optimize the experience, and identify high-impact opportunities.

The Role

As a member of our Consumer Platform Engineering squad, you'll contribute to distributed services written primarily in Golang, with opportunities to work with Python and Ruby as well. You'll partner with our DevOps, Data, and Restaurant Engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and work with cross-functional stakeholders to take customer requirements and define engineering solutions.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience writing production-level code in Golang (or other languages)
  • Experience with technologies like RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, AWS, and K8s
  • Strong background in designing and building APIs and high-availability microservices
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders to take customer requirements and define engineering solutions
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple continents
