Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Franklin Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in expanding, enhancing, and strengthening our technology platform to drive business growth and competitiveness.

Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs and integrating with third-party APIs to consume data. You will work closely with our Agile team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs using C# and.NET technologies
  • Integrate with third-party APIs to consume data
  • Build scalable and secure APIs, focusing on middleware and backend integrations
  • Facilitate the integration of various internal and third-party APIs
  • Support the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of middleware projects
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and technology team members to meet platform development goals
  • Apply in-depth technical knowledge to develop applications across one or more technology areas
  • Plan, design, develop, test, and debug enterprise applications
  • Document key SDLC processes by producing formal documents
  • Participate in troubleshooting complex issues and resolving defects
  • Maintain code quality through unit testing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science (or equivalent work experience required)
  • 7+ years programming experience with strong emphasis on C# and.NET
  • Strong background in object-oriented software engineering, design patterns, and Agile methodology
  • Experience with Web Services (WCF, Web API, SOAP, REST)
  • Solid understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data integrity
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Services (App Services, Function Apps, Queues, Service Bus, etc) - Preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs for seamless data integration
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JS
  • Experience with Web Services (WCF, Web API, SOAP, REST)
  • Experience with relational database systems and writing complex database queries
  • Experience using GIT Source Control
Preferred Skills
  • Proficient in C# and.NET
  • Proficient in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients, and employees
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
  • Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organizational technology, processes, and priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook
