Job Title: Litigation ParalegalJob Summary

Jettison is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to provide support to attorneys through all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document review, case management, and legal research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to attorneys through all phases of litigation, including document review, case management, and legal research.
  • Manage information manually and through the use of computerized databases, including e-discovery and document production platforms.
  • Coordinate the gathering of information, materials, documents, reports, and evidence necessary to respond to discovery, including analysis of client documents for relevance and privilege.
  • Assist attorneys with analyzing, organizing, and summarizing documents and materials, preparing for depositions, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Ensure that logistics, exhibits, filings, and deadlines are proactively managed.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and services providers, including e-filing procedures.
  • Utilize resources and equipment for presentation of evidence to be utilized at trial.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or commensurate litigation paralegal experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and document management platforms such as iManage.
  • Knowledge of research software, including Lexis Nexis.
  • Knowledge of courtroom technology and ability to partner with attorneys, courts, and IT team to access and provide support as needed.
  • Familiarity with various e-discovery and document production platforms.
  • Knowledge of court rules, procedures, and protocols, as well as rules of evidence, including state and federal court trial experience.
  • Proficiency in e-filing (state and federal) procedures.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Client service and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management and organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and manage a variety of demands daily from a variety of sources.
  • Strong attention to detail.
