Key Responsibilities:
The Lead Patient Access Specialist is essential in facilitating efficient patient registration processes, ensuring high-quality service delivery, maximizing Point of Service collections, and providing exemplary customer support. Key duties include:
- Coordinating staff breaks and managing peak volume periods
- Acting as a resource for team members regarding policies and procedures
- Setting a standard for outstanding customer service
- Maintaining professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, healthcare providers, and colleagues
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory
- In-depth knowledge of Patient Access processes is essential; Certification as a Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities
- Proven leadership and management skills
- High attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Capacity to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and thrive under pressure
