Position Overview

As a Business Systems Analyst at Calabitek, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Your expertise will be essential in understanding and documenting business requirements, ensuring that our systems meet the diverse needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirement Analysis: Quickly grasp and articulate business and technical requirements through collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Process Design: Develop process flows and screen designs, providing storyboarding to facilitate effective system design and ongoing requirement interpretation.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of business requirements that clearly outlines the functionalities to be developed, securing necessary approvals.
  • Collaboration: Engage with UI/UX designers, application developers, backend teams, and other subject matter experts to ensure cohesive design and development processes.
  • Product Management: Work closely with the applications manager to develop and maintain product roadmaps, epics, user stories, use cases, and other essential product documentation.
  • Testing: Write detailed test cases based on wireframes and functional requirements, conducting thorough functional testing across various platforms.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee end-to-end testing of interactive web and mobile applications, identifying and resolving issues related to content, layout, usability, and functionality.
  • Specification Review: Analyze product specifications and devise effective testing strategies and plans to meet project objectives.
  • Data Management: Utilize SQL to write queries, compile data, and generate reports as required.
  • Support: Provide help desk support as necessary to assist with production applications.
Preferred Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related fields, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Quality Assurance Analyst. Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support, and maintenance.
