Position Overview

  • Articulate and advocate for Vituity's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals, ensuring comprehensive understanding and alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to all Vituity policies and communicate these standards to all healthcare providers within the organization.
  • Analyze current and emerging healthcare trends and their potential implications for practice and the surrounding community.
  • Develop and implement a thorough annual management plan that establishes clear objectives, consistently exceeding expectations and delivering value to patients, clients, providers, and the community.
  • Lead the local administrative management team, carefully selecting members and aligning their roles to achieve practice objectives.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of Vituity policies and fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring compliance from all providers.
  • Embody Vituity's Partnership Principles by promoting open communication and transparent decision-making, including conducting annual reviews of administrative stipends and scheduling preferences.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of hospital expectations and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Track operational and quality metrics, implementing Vituity initiatives and operational programs to enhance performance.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine operational processes, utilizing technology and best practices to optimize workflows and efficiency.
  • Oversee financial performance of the site, identifying and developing new opportunities for growth and revenue generation.
  • Gain expertise in annual budgeting, financial performance metrics, and billing and reimbursement systems.
  • Enhance patient census and billing statistics to maximize reimbursement for the practice.
  • Maintain engagement with payers, including significant IPAs, Medical Groups, Foundations, and ACOs associated with the healthcare system.
  • Facilitate efficient recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new providers, ensuring the practice is staffed with highly qualified professionals.
  • Provide opportunities for learning and development, mentoring providers and staff to enhance their clinical skills, leadership abilities, and overall professional growth.
  • Assess the performance of physicians and CRNAs in accordance with Vituity policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor physician competencies and facilitate progressive improvement using appropriate metrics. Counsel, suspend, or remove staff from the schedule as necessary in compliance with Vituity policies.
  • Participate actively in contract negotiations alongside the Regional Director.
  • Build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members.
  • Ensure the practice is well-represented and demonstrates its value through leadership roles and participation in hospital management, medical staff leadership, and community engagement.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Licensed physician with an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution and completion of residency from an accredited program.
  • Maintain membership and privileges on the hospital's medical staff, adhering to bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Physician Partnership status is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership capacity is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional clinical expertise.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Project management proficiency.
  • Effective collaboration with diverse individuals across multiple locations.
