Position Overview

  • Articulate and advocate for Vituity's mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives, ensuring comprehensive understanding and alignment across the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to all Vituity policies and communicate these standards to all healthcare providers within the organization.
  • Stay informed on evolving healthcare and economic trends, evaluating their potential effects on the practice and surrounding community.
  • Develop and implement a thorough annual management plan for the practice, establishing clear objectives and consistently exceeding expectations while delivering value to patients and the community.
  • Lead the local administrative management team, carefully selecting members and aligning their roles to achieve practice objectives.
  • Exhibit complete knowledge of Vituity policies and fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring compliance from all healthcare providers.
  • Embody Vituity's Partnership Principles by promoting open communication and transparent decision-making, including regular evaluations of administrative stipends and scheduling preferences.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of hospital expectations and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Track operational and quality metrics, implementing Vituity initiatives to enhance performance continuously.
  • Evaluate and refine operational processes, utilizing technology and best practices to optimize workflows and efficiency.
  • Assess financial performance and identify new growth opportunities for revenue generation.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the annual budget, financial performance metrics, and billing systems.
  • Enhance patient census and billing practices to maximize reimbursement for the practice.
  • Engage with payers, including significant IPAs, Medical Groups, and ACOs associated with the healthcare system.
  • Facilitate effective recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new providers, ensuring a team of highly qualified professionals.
  • Offer educational and developmental opportunities to enhance the clinical skills and leadership capabilities of providers and staff.
  • Assess the performance of physicians and CRNAs in accordance with Vituity policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor physician competencies and implement progressive improvement strategies using appropriate metrics.
  • Participate actively in contract negotiations alongside the Regional Director.
  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure the practice is well-represented and demonstrates its value through leadership roles and participation in relevant committees and community initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited residency program.
  • Active membership and privileges on the hospital's medical staff, adhering to all bylaws and regulations.
  • Physician Partnership status is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a leadership capacity is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Technical proficiency and a solid understanding of accounting and finance.
