Position Overview
- Articulate and advocate for Vituity's core purpose, mission, vision, values, and strategic direction, ensuring comprehensive understanding and alignment across the organization.
- Ensure adherence to all Vituity standards and policies, effectively communicating these to all healthcare providers within the organization.
- Analyze current and emerging healthcare trends and economic factors, evaluating their potential effects on practice and regional healthcare delivery.
- Develop and implement a detailed annual management strategy that establishes clear objectives, consistently exceeding expectations and delivering value to patients, clients, providers, and the community.
- Lead the local administrative management team, carefully selecting team members and aligning their roles to achieve practice objectives.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of Vituity policies and fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring compliance from all healthcare providers.
- Embody Vituity's Partnership Principles by promoting open dialogue and transparent decision-making, including conducting annual evaluations of administrative roles and scheduling preferences.
- Maintain a deep understanding of hospital expectations and rigorously uphold compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Track operational and quality performance metrics, implementing Vituity initiatives and operational programs to enhance overall performance.
- Continuously evaluate and refine operational processes, utilizing technology and best practices to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Assess financial performance of the site, identifying and developing new opportunities for growth and revenue generation.
- Gain expertise in annual budgeting, financial performance metrics, and billing and reimbursement systems.
- Enhance patient census and billing statistics to maximize reimbursement for the practice.
- Maintain relationships and awareness of payers, including significant IPA's, Medical Groups, Foundations, and ACO's associated with the healthcare system.
- Streamline recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new providers, ensuring the practice is staffed with top-tier professionals.
- Offer learning and development opportunities, mentoring providers and staff to elevate their clinical skills, leadership capabilities, and overall professional development.
- Evaluate the performance of physicians and CRNA's in accordance with Vituity policies and guidelines.
- Monitor physician competencies, implementing progressive improvement strategies using appropriate metrics. Counsel, suspend, or remove staff from schedules as necessary in line with Vituity policies.
- Engage in contract negotiations alongside the Regional Director.
- Build and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Ensure the practice is effectively represented and demonstrates its value through leadership roles and participation in hospital management, medical staff leadership, and community engagement.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Licensed physician with an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution and completion of residency in an accredited program.
- Maintain membership and privileges on the hospital's medical staff, adhering to the bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies of the medical staff.
- Physician Partnership status is essential.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership capacity is required.
