Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Family Support Specialist is responsible for assisting Child Welfare Case Managers in delivering essential services to families. This position includes:

  • Facilitating and supervising parent-child and sibling visitations.
  • Providing transportation for children, primarily aged 0 to 18, to various appointments including medical, clinical, and dental.
  • Supporting at-risk families by implementing effective modeling techniques and educational resources to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Essential Duties

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor interactions during supervised visits and document activities in the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) database.
  • Arrange transportation for children to visitations, medical appointments, and other necessary engagements, often requiring travel with a company vehicle.
  • Supervise children in the absence of a Case Manager or caregiver, adhering to agency protocols.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the company vehicle.
  • Engage in client staffings and participate in all staff meetings.
  • Attend court hearings as required.

Qualifications
