Job Title: Grants and Gifts Manager

Job Summary:

The Community Sailing Center is seeking a skilled Grants and Gifts Manager to play a key role in sustaining and growing annual philanthropic revenue. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing an annual strategic foundation and grant strategy, working closely with the Executive Director and Development & Communications Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify regional and national philanthropic foundations to develop a comprehensive grant strategy.
  • Conduct outreach and communication with potential donors, prioritizing targets and developing a calendar of grant deadlines.
  • Oversee all grant writing activities, working with internal leadership to access and maintain data, and ensure timely submission of grant applications, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Maintain records of all grant communications, research, awards, losses, and relevant data.
  • Administer and process transactions related to high-capacity donors, working in collaboration with the Executive Director to prepare for and schedule gift solicitation meetings.
  • Develop and implement a schedule of communications with donors about relevant news and updates from the Community Sailing Center.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with grant, RFP, RFI, or Bid proposal development.
  • Strong research and data management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Solid organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, performing duties under general supervision.
  • Experience with Little Green Light or other Customer Resource Management software.
