Job Title: EHS Engineer

We are seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to join our team at Aleron. As an EHS Engineer, you will be responsible for executing and facilitating our client's environmental health and safety program portfolio for multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, establishment, implementation, and maintenance of occupational health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Develop and implement safety-forward culture changes to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents as a leader and champion safety and chair safety committees at a facility level.
  • Coordinate and conduct site safety inspections and audits to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform hazard assessments, including job hazard assessments and audits, and prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
  • Assist business partners with reporting incidents and near misses, lead incident investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Steward and facilitate emergency action plans.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in related fields such as safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and hazardous waste management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Physical Sciences, or Engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing or R&D engineering labs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing electrical safety programs.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) credentials.
  • Master's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Physical Sciences, or Engineering.
  • EMT or other first-responder training.
