Job Description

The EHS Specialist will play a critical role in implementing, managing, and improving aspects of our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program. This includes evaluating risk mitigation for new and evolving tasks, partnering with functions to establish and monitor safe work plans, performing inspections and audits, and trending leading indicators to monitor the health of the programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote safe and environmentally responsible behaviors.
  • Maintain required regulatory documentation and ensure compliance with OSHA general industry standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to establish and monitor safe work plans and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead or participate in emergency planning, emergency response, incident management, and incident investigations.
  • Design, author, and revise EHS programs to ensure they are effective and up-to-date.
  • Evaluate current activities and proposed changes for EHS risks and acceptable controls.
  • Support function-led Job Hazard Analyses and the development of safe behavior.
Requirements:
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in an environmental, health and safety role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach various levels of the organization in hazard identification and risk mitigation.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards and experience training staff on company and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of industrial hygiene principles and environmental compliance requirements.
