  • Monitors the implementation of safety programs in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Conducts safety audits of operations and field staff.
  • Performs duties of supervised personnel as needed.
  • Must be available for shift work and/or overtime as required by operational demands.
  • Regular attendance is essential for the successful performance of this role.
Supervisory Duties: Oversees one or more team members within rail operations. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these teams. Executes supervisory responsibilities in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws. Duties include recruiting, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; recognizing and addressing employee concerns; and resolving issues.

Qualifications: To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. Education and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.

Language Proficiency: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence. Capable of effectively presenting information in individual and small group settings to clients, customers, and colleagues.

Mathematical Proficiency: Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Analytical Skills: Ability to address practical problems and manage various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Capable of interpreting a range of instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.

Technical Skills: To succeed in this role, candidates should be proficient in Lotus Notes, internet software, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word processing software.

Certifications and Licenses: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing to use personal or company vehicles for work purposes. Must have safety training/certification as required by clients to operate in their facilities and as mandated by the organization at all locations.

Skills and Competencies: Must complete and pass the necessary examinations for the position to maintain competency and skill levels.
