Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Resident Experience (AVPRX) plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by engaging with them across various aspects of their daily routines. This position not only involves delivering direct nursing care but also overseeing the daily nursing operations carried out by the experienced team. Building and nurturing strong relationships through effective communication is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Vice President of Resident Experience (VPRX) in assessing staffing requirements based on client care needs and directives from healthcare providers.
  • Administer services, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and medication management, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Assist the VPRX in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive care within the community.
  • Document all services provided using appropriate forms or electronic devices.
  • Record and report significant information, preparing detailed progress notes.
  • Assist residents in maintaining optimal personal hygiene.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, free from hazards such as fire, spills, and chemicals, and report any issues to the VPRX or President.
  • Address routine individualized healthcare needs of residents.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health status.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care, conditions, progress, or concerns for reporting purposes.
  • Discuss observations and updates with leadership.
  • Regularly record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.

Qualifications
  • Possess a current, unencumbered nursing license in the state.
  • Have 2-3 years of nursing experience in senior living environments, ideally with leadership roles.
  • Hold an LPN degree from an accredited nursing institution.
  • CPR certification is required.
