Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient health status and develop plans of care to reduce health risks
  • Perform interventions and provide education to patients and families
  • Document patient responses and follow-up recommendations
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment
  • Administer vaccines and medications as per site protocols
  • Store, transport, and handle vaccines and biological materials safely
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
  • One year experience as a nurse in a clinic or immunization setting preferred
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR certification if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, supervisors, and coworkers
