About the Role

The ServiceNow System Administrator/Developer II will play a crucial role in supporting the IT service management processes at General Motors. This individual will have a deep understanding of IT service management and the ITIL business processes, as well as experience working closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and process owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of various ServiceNow components, including Service Desk, Change Management, Asset Management, Incident Management, CMDB, and D. They will also be responsible for performing daily administration, issue resolution, and troubleshooting, as well as developing ServiceNow applications, including modifications to existing ITSM modules.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily administration, issue resolution, and troubleshooting
  • Develop ServiceNow applications, including modifications to existing ITSM modules
  • Work with process owners to develop and implement workflow
  • Perform regular ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB maintenance
  • Report setup/custom reporting
  • Perform data imports
  • Custom scripting
  • 3rd party software integrations
  • Facilitating rollout of new applications and modules
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in project management
  • Detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of IT security processes and controls, as well as IT infrastructure and networking technical knowledge
  • Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and processes
  • Strong working knowledge of various ServiceNow components
  • Ability to approach problems with an open mind, use existing information and resources
  • Ability to think strategically and make collaborative decisions
  • Creative, innovative, problem-solving, and maximizing potential to solve problems and improve methods
  • Experience in documentation tools such as Visio and Microsoft Office products
  • Good analytical skills

  • Communicates quickly, clearly, concisely, appropriately, and intelligently
