Diesel Equipment Maintenance Technician

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our diesel equipment fleet.
About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about maintaining high-quality vehicles and equipment. You will work closely with our drivers and maintenance team to ensure that our fleet is in top condition, ready to meet the demands of the foodservice industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair a variety of diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of our equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, making repairs as needed
- Document all maintenance activities, including repairs and parts usage
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to achieve shared goals and objectives
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience as a commercial diesel mechanic or reefer technician
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Able to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations, as well as maintain accurate records and documentation
Benefits:
- $26.00 per hour salary

Physical Requirements:
This role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds, as well as working in a fast-paced environment.
