Heavy Equipment Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. as a Fleet Maintenance Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to work with a leading foodservice industry company.
Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $54,400, based on a 40-hour workweek and $26.00 per hour. Benefits starting day one include medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance.
Job Description- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to company standards to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
- Complete detailed documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability to maintain accurate records.
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- At least 3 years of commercial Diesel mechanic or reefer experience.
- OR 2 years of Diesel Mechanic exp with TK or Refrigeration certification.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
- Independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in administering an appropriate PM program.
- The ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and drivers.
