Position Overview:
This role is crucial for the success of our retail operations. Retail Customer Support Associates engage with both wholesale and retail clients to assess their requirements, provide answers to inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams products, and suggest suitable solutions. They are also responsible for swiftly addressing any customer issues to ensure optimal client satisfaction while keeping abreast of product features and maintaining the high quality and visual standards of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be tasked with:

  • Delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through outstanding sales service.
  • Assisting customers both in-person and via phone by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
  • Establishing and nurturing productive trust-based relationships with wholesale and retail clients.
  • Accurately processing sales transactions in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintaining accurate work order files and product formulas.
  • Retrieving products from the sales floor or warehouse as required.
  • Tinting and mixing products to meet customer specifications when necessary.
  • Restocking shelves and arranging displays to enhance product visibility.
  • Ensuring cleanliness of store equipment.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Assisting with deliveries as needed.
  • Keeping assigned areas in-stock and visually appealing.
  • Staying informed about available products and discussing options with customers.
  • Adhering to inventory control protocols.
  • Proposing strategies to enhance sales performance.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be capable of retrieving materials from shelves and floor stacks and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Completion of at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
  • Prior experience in selling paint and related products.
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in Spanish.
