Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Scalliwags Childcare. As a co-lead teacher in one of our infant/toddler rooms, you will have the opportunity to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our youngest students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in infants and toddlers
  • Establish a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and exploration
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education

Requirements:

  • EEC certification and recent BRC completion
  • Caring, fun-loving, and happy-go-lucky attitude
  • Experience working with young children (infants and toddlers)
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Hardworking and can-do attitude
  • High school diploma
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to lift 30LBS
